I am writing this review to express my profound disappointment and frustration with the care provided by Amedisys on Lakeside Parkway. My 91-year-old father was under their care for a bed sore, and the level of negligence he experienced was appalling. Despite the sore becoming increasingly infected, at no point did the attending nurse recommend that he be seen by a doctor or taken to the emergency room. RED FLAG!!!!! A contracted nurse from this company asked me for my daughter's social security number. When I asked why she needed it she flipped out telling me she makes 100,000 a year and has a 738 credit score. Luckily the manager Courtney was more professional and promised to look into as well as reach out to her actual employers. I wasn't accusing the nurse of anything but her reaction was more than enough reason for pause.
Run from them! They will sign you up and you won't get a visit for weeks. Can't keep help. Nurses go through your phone and take uber. When you want to discharge they wait and no other company can take you. Poorly run. -5 stars
Amedisys Tucker started out great. We were assigned a point of contact and the home health support was initially carried out professionally and on time. Then all of a sudden after a second doctor ordered the continued support, the Amedisys team for unknown reasons, would not conduct the support in a timely manner for two weeks after my father's release from the hospital.
