The best Muffalatta!! This is my favorite Muffalatta shop! This place is a New Orleans tradition. Stop by and get one of these big Italian (Muffalatta) sandwiches or pick up a jar of their famous olive relish! It is to die for!!!!!
In the heart of New Orleans Central groceries is a small grocery store locate in the French Quarter. They make the original Muffalatta. A muffalatta is a sandwich made of cold cuts, italian bread and a very unique olive salad. This is the cities best Muffaletta. My Mother in law tried it when she came to visit us and had to take some home with her. Our relatives in Central America loved it.

I like that they have organic products in here, beats the hell out of the other places because they have that option. They certainly love their customers because they have great people manning the store.
The people working there are rude and agrumentative. The guy I dealt with was a piece of work and I will not go back.

No Longer "ALL OF THAT!" – Like many things these days ... the portion and quality of the sandwich has greatly suffered ... and of course, there have been significant cost increases throughout the past 17 years that I have been going there. Don't waste your money – Forget about trying to give them your money. They are rude and treat you as if they don't need your business... whether that's true or not, you should always make your customers or potential customers feel appreciated and welcome. There are plenty of other places to enjoy great food and amazing service. I can assure that they will never see another dime of my money again. Thought I'd died and gone to heaven! – I LOVED the selection of Italian coffees, pastas and cookies! And OH, the spices! Next time I'll bring an empty suitcase just for the shopping at Central Grocery!
