Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital was established in 1919, the result of community efforts to establish a general acute care facility for Northwest Alabama. The facility is named in memory of Eliza, the daughter of Captain Alexander and Camilla Coffee, whose generous donation contributed toward the purchase of the first building used as ECM Hospital. If it wasn’t for ferrin and his staff I probably wouldn’t still be here he found out I had stage 4 kidney failure and. Heart failure and thank god he pushed me not give up hope so I’m scheduled to start dialysis any day if it wasn’t for him I wouldn’t be here today I’ve known ferrin and Beth half my life never dreamed he would save my life but he has and I could never thank him enough for being great with my kids as they have grown up and for helping me get something done about this awful chronic Iillness I live with daily!!... read more

Today David had a freak accident while trimming a tree. The trimmer went through his hand between the thumb and first finger. Extremely painful and bleeding. Needless to say David is on Plavix and blood was everywhere. Closest facility was Central Clinic. Dr. Saw him and stitched and repaired the hand. Unfortunately i fainted. I was so embarrassed but the staff treated me with such kindness and compassion. I just wanted to say how very nice Taylor and Alisha we're to take care of me and David. DR was also exceptional.
