I ended up in Arkansas and was referred by a dealer to Central Arkansas Truck and Trailer. I’m not sure why Freightliner shops in the area won’t work on a Freightliner with a Caterpillar C15 engine, but that’s how I ended up here. I brought my truck in for an electrical issue—nothing related to injectors or engine performance. However, they went ahead and swapped injector 5 with injector 6, which they should not have done. We brought our truck in running, with a specific DPF-related issue. During their attempted regeneration process, the truck shut down and became non-operational while in their possession. Payment was authorized and accepted by credit card. After we declined to sign a statement confirming full satisfaction and waiving future dispute rights, the shop unilaterally reversed the payment without our consent and refused to release the truck unless we paid again using cash or certified funds. ⭐☆☆☆☆ Serious red flags – proceed with caution Truck was delivered running. After their work, it became non-operational. Payment was accepted by credit card, then reversed by the shop without consent after we refused to sign a “no dispute / fully satisfied” statement. They then demanded cash or certified funds only and refused to release the truck. Our driver was removed from the property.
