My wife was recently released from Centra Specialty Hospital after an extensive stay as a result of a broken ankle and subsequent infection. She was treated by many different nurses, doctors and rehab staff. All of them were respectful, professional, encouraging and reassuring. The janitorial staff kept the room clean. The kitchen staff provided her with great meals. Well done to the many new friends we made during her stay. Thank you.
My 96 yr old Dad was at CSH for almost 3 weeks and he received excellent care. Everyone one on that floor was concerned for his well being.He was not to able to get around on his own at first. They made sure he was turned periodically to prevent bed sores, they helped him with his food and anything else he needed help with.His room was kept clean. I could go on and on. Why open a place like this with inexperienced staff?
This place is dirty, outdated, and the staff seem inexperienced. You'll be hard-pressed to find a real RN on staff (only minimally trained LPNs). This place is not equipped enough to be a hospital, and doesn't have the staff or expertise to be a rehab or skilled nursing facility. It is the worst of all worlds. They are very understaffed and unable to give the care and attention the patients need.
