As a senior citizen, I carried a 5‑gallon (40 lb) paint container to Center Hardware only after verifying from Recology Sunset Scavenger, PaintCare.org, and Center Hardware’s own website that they accept paint containers up to 5 gallons for recycling. Really happy to have this place in the neighborhood. It’s my go to spot in SF. My only feedback is they really need to have a guest wifi because the cell service is weak in there and obviously you need to do a lot of searching online while in a hardware store.
I went this morning to the store to find some plumbing parts I needed to repair an old sink. I asked for a plumber and Tino came to help me. Very friendly and very helpful, not only did I get the pieces I needed but I also got a crashed course on plumbing. Thank you, much appreciated.
