Friendly home-town vibe, competitive prices, helpful staff, great mix of top quality name-brand items with some fun and whimsical items. Easy access from T-Train/plenty of parking. Has replaced my online and big-box shopping.

As a senior citizen, I carried a 5‑gallon (40 lb) paint container to Center Hardware only after verifying from Recology Sunset Scavenger, PaintCare.org, and Center Hardware’s own website that they accept paint containers up to 5 gallons for recycling. Really happy to have this place in the neighborhood. It’s my go to spot in SF. My only feedback is they really need to have a guest wifi because the cell service is weak in there and obviously you need to do a lot of searching online while in a hardware store.
