I was a bit apprehensive with vein treatment in general. I had seen another clinician who wanted to perform vein stripping which I don't recommend due to its most invasive procedure. Contrarily, Dr. Sonde used a technique called heat ablation and after doing some research, is least invasive. The procedure, for me, was not painful and quick. I had my first visit with Dr. Sonde in Chevy Chase and it was such a great experience. The whole team was amazing and very accommodating from start to finish. Angie at the front desk was especially kind and helpful — she made check-in easy and welcoming. Dr. Sonde was wonderful. She took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all of my questions, and made me feel completely comfortable throughout the appointment. 8 years ago I saw Dr Sonde at her old clinic and she performed several ablative procedures on my legs. I'm thrilled that I found her at her current location. Not only did she remember me and what procedures she had performed, but her excellent treatments held my veins fairly stable. I've been receiving treatments for severe varicosities since I was 30 due to back to back pregnancies and genetics.
