WARNING!!! I paid a $100 for a consultation with a fast talking Doctor that cares nothing about treating women suffering with PCOS. I felt like I was in a 15 minute high school reproductive health class. Insulting to a woman that his been managing this condition for 10+ yrs. Called to inquire as to whether or not they treat PCOS for NON-FERTILITY related issues (i.e metabolic issues related to PCOS: insulin resistance, rising A1C, etc.) They assured me they did, and sent me to their patient portal to fill out a form in order to secure an appointment. After nearly an hour of futzing with a form that asked extremely invasive questions about my husband (which I refused to answer), it became clear that they only treat women interested in conceiving. I healed my own PCOS. After 7 long miserable "low carb/calorie counting" years taking the advice of doctors like these. High Carb, Low Fat, Plant Based Diet. No meat, dairy, eggs, processed foods. Its as SIMPLE as that. NO MEDS. All the info you need can be found on youtube, as well as in many books from your local library. Look for Dr. Mcdougall, Dr Greger. That's a great start. Best of luck!
Wow. Called today to find out more information and the woman who answered the phone was a complete "B". After 30 seconds speaking with her I had no desire to be seen here. Not only that but they do not have any female doctors on staff... Not a great first impression. Going to stick with Mayo clinic. I wish I could give this a zero star rating. Hopefully the doctor who owns this joint reads this and fires his admin.
