We took our then 10 year old pit bull to Cares for anal sac carcinoma in June of 2014. We were told that the average life expectancy after surgery would be approx. 500 days. We felt that might be optimistic for his age and the fact they also found malignant mast cell tumors. While he was there, we were treated as though he was the only patient there. We received a texted picture of him wrapped in a blanket the evening after surgery that meant the world to me. Sadly he passed on 9/2/16, but I can not thank the entire staff of... read more

We did some internet research and discovered his disease is almost always fatal in his breed, why were we not told this? It was months of steroids that lessened his life not supported it! I'm not sure they always tell the ow... read more

Came in for an ultrasound with my kitty and saw Dr. Basseches. CARES itself was a really nice facility - the front desk workers were great and very helpful and he was seen promptly. The tech was super nice and Dr. Basseches was wonderful as well. She was very thorough and even though it was bad news she was very informative and caring. I would never hesitate to come back to CARES.
