The location is exceptional. Close to museums, restaurants, shops, marina,…. The breakfasts were good, but we do prefer more of a buffet style at a bnb. We found out on arrival that our breakfast would be across the street at the main inn. There were no fresh fruits available. The coffee there was excellent. We stayed in a front room. It was very noisy with street conversations and music. Also, no fire escape. We stayed 3 nights and had to request clean towels and trash removal. The coffee in our parlor was terrible. Such a nice and relaxing stay. The staff was very nice. The room was great and clean. There were many thoughtful things available, such as cookies, wine, soft drinks, ice, coffee, aromatherapy towels. Also, a pretty sitting area. Breakfast across the street was good and convenient. There's not too much noise from other house guests. This is a place you can park and walk everywhere. We definitely will stay here again when we come back to St Augustine.

I honestly don’t understand the positive reviews here. My wife and I stayed at Carriage Way Centennial in the Lapis Room for two nights. Upon arrival, there was no host present, and we had to wait for someone to show up—after driving more than six hours in traffic. While waiting, I used the bathroom in the lobby and found that it had clearly been used by someone with diarrhea, which was extremely unpleasant. The room itself was outdated.
