My "Go To" Place I found Max on a whim and am so grateful I did! Skilled stylist with an eye for color. I travel often for work and could get my cut and color done anywhere - I really mean anywhere. Instead I make sure to schedule my appointments around my travels because I know when I leave Max's shop I'll have a style that totally works for me. You rock Max!

Highly recommended! I have been going to Max for several years now. In the past I have gone to a few other popular stylists in the area, but I have to say I am happiest with Max's work. He always listens to his clients and takes the time to ask questions about how they want things as he goes. He is also a very good colorist, I have never had a cut or color job I've been unhappy with. assistant i worked for max during the time one of the bad reviews were written. i couldnt leave it alone as i've seen his work for awhile.the lady in question had damaged hair when she came. he didnt want to color it. the second time she came he gave in.probably should have refused in retrospect.overly porous hair will react unpredictably. he fix the problem and she still comes to him.really was posting to say, he didnt create the damage,it was prexisting

Drive to Montgomery I really enjoyed talking with Max, but I didn't care for the haircut he gave me. I would much rather go to someone I can't stand who gives a great haircut than go to someone I really like and get a mediocre haircut. I wanted long layers with thick bangs, and I got a long haircut with really short layers and a wisp of bangs. Maybe I wasn't clear, but I did bring 3 pictures with me of the exact haircut I wanted. I would not recommend.

great cut, bad color Max can cut hair, I gave him 2 tries. The second time he made my hair a bit grey, and they had to redo it and it was ok. Not what I was looking for, he kind of knew it and and did not want me to leave until I was satisfied. I was too scared to try to let him do anything else though because of the damage, as long as it looked ok I was ok with it. He knew he messed up. I do not think his coloring is great, but he can cut hair.

Finally! I am very particular about my hair (I am a Leo) and I have switched stylists a few times. Max is just plain good at what he does. He listens to what you want and tells you the truth about what he can safely do considering the condition of your hair. I bring pictures of what I want and he takes it into consideration and gets me there while maintaining the integrity of my hair and his reputation. Highly Recommend Best haircut I've had since moving to Dothan from Washington, DC. Love Max, no BS, no gossip, just a great cut and color. The salon is not pretentious, very comfortable and relaxing.

Superior Max is AWESOME! I read all the great reviews and decided to try him out. I'm usually very picky with hairdressers but Max has exceeded my expectations. He really understands the physics and dimensions of hair and will take the time to talk you through it and find out what you really want before he gives you the perfect cut. I can honestly say i have never had a better haircut than what he gave me! I am so pleased and excited about my hairstyle!! I LOVE IT!
