If I could give 0 stars I would! I had a vehicle loan through them. My vehicle was totalled out in November of 2018, I did have gap insurance. I called the bank to see if I had to keep making payments since I had gap insurance. I was told no and the lady on the phone put a stop to the payments coming out of my account. 2 months later of going back and forth with a lady at the bank who was suppose to be making the claim for my gap insurance never did because they had to wait on the refund check from the dealership. I programed a ACH to happen and I forgot the 01 in front of the account number of one of our residents (BUT I wonder why the 01 is not with the account # it is off by itself), and they charged the resident $10 because they had to look the account number up. I couldn't believe it and they would not reverse the charges even though this was not her fault and it was the first time I had made that mistake since they made the account numbers 10 digits instead of the 8 digits. I have had a bad experience with Cefcu all the way around. I have been a member for several years. I would say seven to eight years. Started out with a checking and savings account. Had to close the checking account because of the many fees they charged for slight overdraft. Made me feel like they don't realize overdrafts happen sometimes. A lot of banks will refund some of the fees. Ms. R**** would have been provided a Deposit Account Agreement at the time of account opening. The Deposit account agreement details our cutoff times, transaction posting process and overdraft practices. Included in the Deposit Account Agreement are details on CEFCU’s Overdraft Transfer Plan, a service that members can request to avoid overdraft fees. Inquired about a gift card that was promised by opening a checking account. Waited 5 months with no gift card in hand. Called several representatives at cefcu and was directed wrong and was rude to. Called again after receiving statements still in mail and was laughed at. Then after the phone call in marketing I got a call from the VP of securities closing my account because of marketing. Her reason was because I said **** in the convo and she felt threatened. What kind of sorry business is this Bank?

CEFCU had talked to Mr. M*****, previously, and at that time it was noted that he had not met the offer terms required to receive the gift card as part of the Checking promotion. At that time, he was advised on what steps he would need to take in order to qualify for the gift card. During this second call, it was noted that Mr. M***** had still not met the terms of the promotion and did not qualify to receive the Checking promotion gift card.
