I am extremely disappointed with the way I was treated at the Cedars-Sinai Gastroenterology office. My appointment was created by a Cedars case manager as an emergency follow-up to a recent ER visit, yet the office staff including the manager Enrique Alvarez refused to allow me to be seen by a doctor. Terrible service. They refuse to answer the phone, or reply to numerous voicemails and messages about critical patient issues.
So far this practice is a far cry from the Cedars standard I know and love. I can't get anyone to return my calls to schedule a standard procedure. Whenever I get someone on the phone after my own efforts, they, in a rushed, distracted tone, give me a different excuse as to why my appointment is not advancing. This is not up to Cedars standards whatsoever.
Went for colonoscopy and endoscopy. Everyone from reception to nursing to anesthesiologist to gastroenterology was perfectly professional, friendly, and thorough. It's not my first colonoscopy, but it was definitely the best and easiest one to do. Loved all the prep communication and follow-up. Oh, and they even validate parking!
