Very good the food, and a lot of products to cook at home.. goos prices and good portions...
A friend and I were out running errands yesterday when our tummies told us it was time to eat. She needs to eat Halal, so that makes it a bit trickier. Lucky for us, someone suggested Cedar's. It was a treat. I'm not at all familiar with Mediterranean food so I was pleased to find the gentleman that took our order was more than willing to answer my questions and make suggestions. We've eaten here since we moved to Katy a decade ago. The food is fresh made, perfectly seasoned and delicious. It's family run and sometimes more welcoming than my own family. It is also a market and the items I've purchased have been good. It's got the authentic feel that makes it very special. Love it!
Lunch is always great whether you want hearty and filling or light and fresh. Hummus shawarma is my go-to snack. You can't beat the gyro plate for lunch and the desserts are awesome!
Stuffed Grape leaves and cabbage rolls are yummy (I put the cucumber yogurt sauce on my grape leaves or dip them in it). Their Hummus is better than any I have tried - no joke - and I've tried over 20. We are so glad we tried it and went back for the 2nd time. It was consistent and delicious! In this case, this small restaurant packs BIG flavor and we will recommend to others to give it a shot. I may order pickup from them for future parties!!
So delicious. We've been to other places and not gotten half of the food for the price we paid here and it tasted better than the other places. The people were really sweet and helpful also. We will definitely be back... soon.
