I would never recommend this apartment complex to anyone. The management is completely unresponsive and does not handle work orders in a timely manner. From the day I moved in I had to open work orders because things were not right in my unit. Most of them I had to resolve myself or wait months for them to get to. It has gotten so bad that management is now just sending blanket emails to the entire community that they are behind on work orders and will get to them when they can. This company has not responded to 50+ phone calls asking for assistance since November. Not to say maintenance is not attended to. Thats the propertys saving ****** But It doesnt matter whether trying to get a hold of administration or accounting they dont return emails or phone messages. If Zero was possible that would be my rating. DO NOT rent from Essex Property Management- specifically the Silver Apartments in ************ *******************************. There is zero property management presence, concern, or support. Its a sad joke to pay for an apartment where theres no management.The property management is no longer on site hiding out from residents and their legitimate needs. They closed my community office and when calling, no one picks or returns the ** calls. After many days of follow-up, finally they called me and took all the details from me about the lease renewal. They said they will get back with the needed details but never called me. No person in this leasing office ever replies to emails nor even picks calls to address any concerns even after this LiFE THREATENING incident I am going to explain in a bit.As a current resident, its a hopeless community with very poor infrastructure and ill maintained houses.Our roof collapsed in the kitchen because of leaks and the rubble that fell off the floor had life threatening nails and all kinds of sharp metal nuts which is LIFE THREATENING if someone had stood during the fall. They will send you to collections for things that you have already paid. Stay away.
Imagine your surprise to come home to the apartment you still pay for only to find that the water is shut off, the washer and dryer you wanted to use is unusable, and unsanitary construction trash piled onto your cooking utensils. Probably half as surprised as finding half drank drinks littered through the place, as well as no usable toilets, or your husband's BBQ being used as a work bench. And if you do get a response, it's just a bunch of excuses - nothing is ever done to resolve issues. There are A LOT of people here living in one bedroom apartments being loud and rude - the max ****** of tenants in the lease apparently does not apply.
