Spent a total of 6 days at this "wonderful" place. During my time there, I was lied to on several occasions regarding transportation back home, having access to my device to call my wife (which they lost and I have been trying to speak to someone there about replacing a lost device) and other things. There is only two saving graces to this place, one was the food, most of the time, it was great. The other was this one woman who worked unit 4 all by herself
This place is the worst facility, if you can avoid it. I am going to make a complaint with the state about how all the staff that I spoke with, especially the administrator, lied straight to my face about how my daughter was doing. She did not get the help she needed, instead I feel that it is just making her situation worse. All this place is after is my insurance money. STAY AWAY!!!!
Abuse, neglect, and they don't want you to get better. They prescribed cheap and ineffective medications. Their protocol for events such as anxiety attacks is to put them in room around 15 by 10 ft with a bed in the middle with a thin mat. Ineffective groups and therapy. Constant flow of contraband and weapons. Substance use inside. Gang like jumping and beatings. Regular fights. Complete lack of education. Lack of medical attention and so many other reasons that make this more comparable to prison than treatment.
I can’t thank this program enough for everything they did for my daughter. When she first arrived, she was scared, emotional, and unsure of what to expect. As a parent, that was hard to watch. But over time, I saw such a beautiful transformation. She grew to genuinely love the staff, her peers, and the program itself.
