update second time around. Only went sent my daughter because she needed an rtc program close by RTC was ok my daughter kept on getting jumps by other girl in the units. NOW FOR THE PHP Probably the worst program didn't help my daughter at all. Obviously not using my real name but I spent around 5 years at Cedar Crest when I was a teenager. I was released from Cedar Crest in 2007 at age 17. Yeah, it's been a while. But while I was there, it was the first place I'd been to that truly helped me when I'd been to a lot of other places before Cedar Crest. The staff were caring and yeah a little rough around the edges and stern when the had to be but no staff member was abusive while I was there. I wasn't the easy going one either. If I could give 0 stars I would. This is place is a complete joke! If your child isn’t programming, they kick them out. There is no case manager, only a therapist & discharge nurse, who by the way is the most ridiculous person I’ve ever talked to. This place is basically a baby sitting place who does NOTHING for your child’s mental health.
If I could give less stars I would. They did nothing for my daughter the 5 days she was there. Didn't try to change up her meds, I never spoke with a doctor the whole time even when I requested to. They discharged my daughter after 5 days because she didn't "program to the program ". What the heck does that even mean. You are a psych hospital supposed to help children in need! UPDATE: Even though (owner)below stating contact us without giving me contact information, now they have called to say he is kissing on a girl and defiant! What exactly is this place for? It’s apparent there is no supervision and they could care less about the patients!! This hospital is awful! They took my grandson who we have been telling everyone is a danger, he attacked a special needs child and they call my son to come pick him up!
