It was actually pretty good I was in unit 3 the therapists were pretty good I couldn’t understand one tho but most of the staff were pretty nice especially Mrs. Tyson and the beds are comfy
I would give Cedar Crest Hospital one star, but there was one very good counselor who genuinely tried to help me, and that deserves to be acknowledged. Beyond that, my experience was miserable. There were too many issues to list, but the major ones were serious. The food was poor, there was essentially no meaningful therapy, the facility was freezing, and there did not appear to be enough staff for the number of patients. Worst place I have ever been. I see no point honestly in posting this since I see the same response from "owner" is a blanket answer, so no one is truly reading these and caring enough to do anything about it. There is literally zero therapy and nothing to do. I took cold showers the whole time despite telling me we had no hot water. Activity room was so cold it was unbearable so we were basically stuck in our rooms all day and there was no activities in said "activity room" but some coloring pages and cards. They ignored my calls for 5 days then called CPS on me when I removed my daughter because they wouldn’t communicate with me. I called 13 times. Only 4 were answered and 3 of those the staff member told me they couldn’t help me and couldn’t transfer me to the person that could. They said they would get a message to that person to call me. They couldn’t tell me anything about my daughter. They give you a packet promising a call within 72 hours to work with you to develop your child’s treatment plan. My daughter was admitted to Cedar Crest following a mental health crisis, and unfortunately our experience was extremely disappointing. From the moment we arrived, the environment felt more like a detention facility than a place designed to help adolescents in crisis. The atmosphere was cold and unwelcoming, and the facility appeared dirty and poorly maintained.
