Dr. Chu is absolutely a very experienced & very good doctor. She delivered my daughter in 2001 & my twin girls back in 2006. Since then she is someone special we always remember from time to time. We keep wanting to stop by to say hello and to thank her for delivering our wonderful humans:) I want her to see how wonderfully my girls have grown and I want my girls to meet again with the most wonderful doctor that help me deliver them. I was referred to Dr. Chu from another physician. I had been a long time patient of the referring Doctor so I trusted her recommendation. However, after experiencing a medical/insurance mistake by Dr. Chu and her office I would never recommend her. In the end, she billed me for an in-office procedure as "surgery" in the amount of $1k in addition to an office visit. My experience with Dr. Chu has been nothing but positive. She is one of the best doctors I've ever come across. She makes me feel human and gives me straight forward answers. She's honest and kind. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about her. I am so bummed she is no longer doing OB because I would love to have her deliver my babies. So glad i had her for my first and would want her for my next. Shes funny and easy going and answers questions and is patient. The billing breakdown was easy to understand and we knew what we were paying for and when ahead of time. I did not know that insurance only paid for a certain number of ultrasounds and we had an extra one to confirm gender since we found iut early. Worst mistake EVER. She wanted to do very invasive and Risky “standard procedures” while I was still early in my pregnancy when I questioned why, she would look with such judgement because god forbid I ask questions to things I have a right to know. I went an entirely different direction thanks to her. Don’t blindly accept what is being told to you just because she’s a doctor so she can bill the crap out of you.
We chose Dr.Chu Without seeing the reviews and we never felt bad for that. She was awesomely taken care during each and every visit from the first visit till the postpartum. Unfortunately we moved to OH and missing her ??
Worst experience I have ever had with a doctor.
There is no one else I would have wanted to deliver both of my babies than Dr. Chu! So much so, that I drove 74 miles round trip from Trabuco Canyon for my second pregnancy! She is informative, patient, and downright funny! I felt safe, cared for, and 100% confident with all of her decisions during my pregnancies and deliveries. Her staff is the friendliest doctor's staff I have ever experienced, too! They all got to know me and my family over the course of my pregnancies and I miss seeing them!
Dr. Chu is one of the most informative doctors I have ever met. Sometimes I don't have my listening ears on and she doesn't mind repeating and explain what she has said. The girls in the front office I feel make the doctor and they all were friendly and gave you 100% of their time in talking with you. I am a woman in her 60s and I found it refreshing to have a doctor who was not embarrassed to talk with me about anything on my mind. She explained everything very well so you understood.
