On the tail end of a long hot drive from California to Montana, I stopped to check out two vehicles at Coeur d'Alene Wheels (in Post Falls?) that were posted on Craigslist. Though terribly hot & exhausted, it seemed like the salesman was being honest with me & would provide good customer service. Apparently I was deliriously wrong!! Bought a Ford F150 on June 14th. We explained it would be driven for work and out of town. So it is July 1st. The truck is in Missoula Montana with a blown head gasket fully loaded with tools for work and a stranded owner. I understand bought as is BUT SERIOUSLY 2 WEEKS and they refuse to do anything. It's not ok. It's BAD business it's unethical. It's unfortunate they don't even ATTEMPT to make any part of this right.
Gave them $100 to hold a truck for me while I secured the title to my trade in. Went in 4 days later with the title ready to make the deal and they had sold the truck that morning. At no point was I told I had only 3 days to make the deal. Dave and I shook hands and he knew I was coming back to buy. The owner gave me back my money but only begrudgingly. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for a more honest business.
Bought a car to use as a work vehicle, in less than a month i have replaced all four brakes, a serpentine belt and a fuel pump. And i still have to replace an O2 sensor. I shouldnt spend over 2000 dollars on a car and have to spend an additional 500 just to get it running good enough to use as a work vehicle. Tried to tell me that they couldnt predict parts going out, even though all they had to do was plug the car in to a diagnostic computer and find out what was wrong with it.
