Horrible Accounting & Tax Experience – CBIZ Was a Costly Disaster This was a horrible experience from start to finish. CBIZ completely failed to do what we hired them to do. They did not listen, did not communicate, and did not execute even the most basic tax responsibilities competently. Since the change from the prior firm to CBIZ, previously reliable tax services we've used for years have become abysmal. This new outfit is unprofessional, non-communicative, incompetent, and take no responsibility for their actions. If I could give a zero star rating, I would. HARD PASS.

LOVED our accountant... then they sold to CBIZ. Wow... what a difference. Terrible service - you go WEEKS without replies to emails. Worst Experience ever. Wrote them, reached out to management - do you know what management said? Nothing - they never replied to our emails either. We pay tier-1 prices... get tier-3 service. Hate to switch - but will have to - TERRIBLE service. Worst mistake we made was not switching when our accountant sold out to CBIZ.

We previously used an accountant that worked for the company that CBIZ took over. During the merge, she became progressively more absent, non-responsive, and failed to get the work done. Because I own my own business, I have to pay quarterly taxes. She did not even bother to ask me about income changes for 2023, so was basing my payments on what I was making before I opened my own business (about 4 times more than what I make now).
