Dr. Carretero was very mean and did not listen to my concern at all. She came off as prejudice and even racist. She wanted to put me on birth control even though I told her multiple times that I did not want to be put on it because I had no need for it. She didn't even give me any other options. Just stated that the medication that I needed required me to be on birth control and I told her well aren't there any other medications. Just saw Dr. Carretero at Kaiser three days ago. She was nice enough during the visit. I came to her primary about a an itchy brown patch in my front cheek area. She agreed to freeze it off, but insisted that I needed two rounds of ten second freezing to take care of it. I’ve never had a dermatologist freeze a spot for that long, but I agreed to allow her to do it. Oh, my bad! What I got was a very prominent blister that burst open and took the skin with it. Overall very pleasant experience with the staff and Catherine. The office staff was very helpful scheduling an appointment (and getting on a cancelation list), welcoming to the office, and getting checked in. I was seen on time and Catherine was extremely helpful answering all of my questions and made me feel very confident about my visit. I would recommend.

The doctor was very knowledgeable and was able to diagnose what what wrong with me very quickly. However, I felt rushed in the appointment. I asked a lot of questions and it felt like I was inconveniencing the doctor, who seemed in a hurry to be done after spending less than 10 minutes with me. Then the medication I really needed was never sent to the pharmacy for multiple days. I called less than an hour after my appointment to correct this and multiple times the rest of the day.
