i just received c. azars summary of my follow-up visit and had to check the name on the envelope, to make sure that the summary was of MY VISIT. Not once would this doctor answer my questions regarding specific details of my blood test. she actually got annoyed that I would ask her "...what are the four markers for which I had been tested??" her body language was undeniably hostile as she refused to answer and instead told me that my cancer in 2018 was not a RECURRENCE of my breast cancer in 1995; but, instead it was a NEW C... read more
‘Put that pen down and look at me!’ ‘This is your husband I’m talking about!’ I had already heard earlier from the neurologist (kindly) that my beloved husband had a brain bleed, untreatable d/t AML. Why she needed to scold me angrily, and treat me with such disdain because I wanted to jot a few notes is beyond me. ( all this in my husband’s presence.) There is a huge difference between ‘telling it like it is’ (her forte) and being cruel.
She saved my life. Stage IIIB triple negative breast cancer. she got me in to a clinical trial that worked well. 14 years later I am still here. She is a straight shooter, which I so appreciate. Does not sugar coat anything.
Visit for elevated white count, elevated platelets. I KNEW this was due to a large dosage of prednisone the week before. She asked me about the dosage. Then they took blood. Instead of waiting for the results of this blood test (it showed my levels declining, coming back to normal), she insisted that I had leukemia, and had to do a bone biopsy IMMEDIATELY! Should have walked out at that point, but stayed and had it done. THEN, it took seven weeks of phone calls to get the results; no one bothered to call me! I'm still waitin... read more
Dr. Azar dismissed my complaints of great foot and some hand pain as "don't worry it will go away" . nearly 13 years later i still suffer great pain in my feet and have been told by multiple neurologists that the chemo Azar prescribed caused my condition and will never go away! Her know it all attitude and her dismissive tone as to my cancer was very off putting. I would never recommend her as a cancer doctor or any other activity in the fields of medicine!
Dr. Azar may be a good Dr., but she treats her staff with unbelievable rudeness. She could use a refresher course in manners, just because you are a Dr. does not give you the right to treat others like she does. Her attitude towards me, as a new patient, has made me want to have no further dealings with her. Life is too short and these health problems too serious to allow anyone to talk or treat with her abusive attitude.
I have complete confidence that Dr. Azar is treating both me and my disease with the best possible treatment. Cancer is a scary word, but Dr. Azar helps put you at ease. You will get the best care and the truth from her.
She has treated me for post operative renal cancer, stage 3, and I have had no further concerns. The staff is always professional. The place is clean, blood tests are on site. AZAR is very direct, she will tell you exactly what she is thinking, and she did adjust her estimation of my situation. She likes dogs.
I have complete confidence in Dr. Azar and trust her to give me the correct treatment. I would (and have) recommended her to others. She has an air of positivity that gives me confidence that I can overcome this disease.
