Fish fillets were great.
Mushy catfish! I had eaten there several times before and bragged to my boyfriend how good it was and he threw his in the trash.

My husband and I tried this place on Saturday 9/21/19 for dinner and were very disappointed. He ordered the Deep South Duo which is originally $16.99 but because he wanted oysters it was $18.99. He received 6 fried oysters and 2 small catfish filet pieces. His 2 sides were a half basket of fries and a 2 ounce portion of cheese grits. absolutely delicious food.The hush puppies are awesome too. There's a cool little pond next to parking lot with ducks hanging around. Cool place.
Very fine lunch menus. Staff very friendly as well. Daily specials are good, but they also have a great salad with chicken, shrimp or fish, or a large stuffed baked potato with pulled pork barbecue sauce, and cheddar cheese.
Took my Mom to lunch there a few weeks ago because we have always loved this restaurant. many vacant tables but told we would have to wait a few minutes because waitresses were behind and they need to give them time to get caught up...have never been told that in restaurant. the hushpuppies were great but food was minimum and not very tasty at all. The parking lot needs work as it did many years ago. Maybe it was just a bad day there and looks like they are hiring new staff so hoping that helps.
