A True Business – Catans has been my dress shop since I went to my first school dance in 8th grade. I have always had wonderful experiences with the workers and Pat Catan herself! They are always honest on what styles work best for you (which may cause some problems for people because you don't always look good in what you like!!) and by doing so you leave there looking your best! Rude Employees – I went to Catan Fashions when it first opened for the day. I was expecting really good customer service from the consultants. However, I got the extreme opposite. My consultant was rude and not helpful at all. When asking me questions about what dress I was looking for (I still don't know why she asked me these questions..she never used my answers to help me) she made me feel like a complete moron with her attitude and how she spoken to me. Terrible Experience – I am from South Carolina which is where my June 6th wedding will be taking place. 3 of my cousins will be in my wedding, but the reside in Cleveland, OH. On a visit to Catans we picked out 3 dresses and the girls went into to be measured. My junior bridesmaids dress is SO LARGE it falls off of her and the alterations will cost over the cost of the dress. When my older flower girl was measured her mother questioned the size. Rude Service, Poor Buisness Practices – I've never written a review, but my experience with Catan's was so horrible, I never want another bride to have to go through this. I bought my wedding dress and my bridesmaid dresses here. Once committing to Catan's we immediately saw a different side of their service. Excellent service, great selection – I had an excellent experience shopping for (and buying) my bridal gown at Catan's. We made an appt for early on Saturday, and our consultant was friendly and attentive. I was allowed to browse the racks and select some dresses that I wanted to try, and then I worked with the consultant to select some additional gowns. Go somewhere else – Go anywhere else. You will be so much happier to find the dress of your dreams (or that which your bridemaids will wear) if you go somewhere where they know how to measure you, order the right size, and not talk you into something you know won't fit. Because if that happens, you have to fix it at your own expense and they accept no blame for any of it. Horrifying Experience! Left without a wedding dress just weeks before my wedding – I ordered my wedding dress from Catan's and due to their mismesurements and incompitencies, I am left just weeks before my wedding with no dress and a $800 whole in my pocket. When I discussed the issues with the owner, I only received accusations of being a liar! Who talks like that to a customer?? Bad Customer Service – I went to Cantan's for my bridesmaids dresses. The girls were very lazy and unhelpful. My maids and I did all the work, pulling the dresses, finding the styles, and tracking down someone to get our sizes. They also tried up size my bridesmaid, meaning more money for take ins. Even though they have lots of vendors and options the customer service was not worth the headache. I went out three times with my maids to get the dresses ordered. HORRIBLE PLACE! – Do not waste your time or money at this place! I ordered my bridesmaid dress from there, they admitted that they ordered the wrong siz and refuse to do anything about it! None of the bridesmaids got dresses that fit! They ordered the dress 2 sizes to big so to take it in will cost $70.00 then it will need hemmed (although it is tea length) and that will cost me another $40.00.
