Owner Made Up For a Problem Very Well – I had a bad customer service experience when I went in to buy a wedding dress. I ended up calling to complain, and was able to speak to the owner, Patrice. She was very concerned and nice, listened to what I had to say, and did a great job making up for it. She gave me a very hefty discount, and made things very easy from there. I'd recommend checking the place out, and if you have any concerns, talk with Patrice directly and she'll help you out.
catan's fashions (the best bridal store ever!!) – I went to catans fashions on the advice of my sister in law. I walked in and was greeted by the owner(mrs A) and another staff member. They where friendly towards my mom and I and even offered us pastries. mrs A took care of me personally. I told her my budget and she gave me a great deal and helped me pick the perfect dress and I found a gorgeous pair of earrings!! Worst Experience Ever. – I have never been spoken to in the manner that the owner spoke to me. She called me rude and wouldn't let me speak. She told me she was doing me a favor... I'm sorry a favor?! HAHA! No you are doing business... NOT A FAVOR! By the end of the conversation she threatened that if I "walked in with an attitude when I got my veil, she would not render me service"- excuse YOU I'm the customer and my payment is NON Refundable, so if she did not render me service, there would be police involved. WOW! – We drove from Toledo to shop here, and it was very easy to find. Directly off the turnpike, and straight on 42. What a selection! All the staff were friendly, and very, very helpful.Huge selection and prices were very reasonable for the type of dresses they have. It just happened that we were there during the Tony Bowls trunk show, and got to meet Tony. What a fun morning and what great dresses! Highly recommend this store...wish we had found it a long time ago!
The Worst – Our consultant was foreign, unfriendly, and seemed bored with the whole process. She did not show us anything like what we were asking to see, she just didn't understand. I think her poor english skills may have played a part. She made the bride feel fat and unattractive. The bride is a size 8, by the way. Go the David's Bridal. We went there directly from Catan's and were treated well and bought a beautiful dress for about half of what Catan's average price was.
A wonderful experience! – My experience at Catan's was the best ever! I ended up ordering my gown and all of my bridesmaids' gowns, as well as my slip, headpiece, etc. The alterations department is outstanding, as is the bridal department and bridesmaids. The ladies in bridal and in bridesmaids both took the time to explain the differences in sizing on bridal size charts from what we're used to with retail sizing. Horrible – I have never been so unhappy with a bridal store. I have been to Catan's about 4 times now and everytime it is pretty much empty and you cannot find an employee to help out. And when you finally do find an employee to help out they have no idea what is going on. I ordered a bridesmaid dress through them and although i told them i am a 0 they still ordered me a 6. The alerations will cost more than the dress did. I told them to at least order me a 2 but they said the dresses run small. The only dress they had in st... read more
