Was a patient of Dr. Castracane's for 20 years before he retired. Incredibly detailed oriented, patient, and kind surgeon. I had a perfect outcome to surgery and would continue to see him today if he wasn't retired.
I've been going to Dr Castracane for decades and highly recommend him.
gave me a inaccurate lens prescription after an eye exam, would not correct it then went thru the motions of re-examining my eyes again. when I went to him after accidently putting mistakingly putting ear drops in my right eye (all it caused was a little discomfort). he caused me to experience severe pain from the little light he was using (heat). gave me a little eye salve & some tape to keep my eye closed when I slept. right eye still bothers me yrs later!
Dr. Castracane is a rude, surly and incompetent physician. Do not see him. If you are presently a patient, make an appointment with another doctor !
Dr. C. was recommended to me with a warning that he runs late with appts and is chatty. That was a mild assessment. He was rude, did not make eye contact with me, did not answer any questions and ultimately prescribed the wrong RX, shape and size of contacts I needed. He literally huffed when I asked simple questions and rushed me out of the room. Poor bedside manner toward a new patient. Would not recommend for basic eye health exams or vision enhancement.
Dr. Castracane is an expert in his field and cares about his patients. Thanks to his intervention, I was immediately seen and properly diagnosed.. I am very grateful to have him as my doctor.
