We came here to celebrate my birthday and it was amazing. We originally went to Moby Dicks but their rude staff and 2+ hour wait turned us to Castaways and it was the best decision ever! Our waitress, Whitney, was absolutely amazing and completely patient with our large party of 12 (6 kids, 6 adults) and never once got overwhelmed. We got there at 6:15 after calling to make reservations for our group of 14 around 3pm and were told they don't take them, just come in. When we all got there, we were told an hour wait. After getting seated, 1/2 of our groups food were served (over an hour later) and the other half came out as the first half were finishing. Food was great, service very slow. Great food excellent service
The food was OK. My chicken fried steak was tuff. Couldn't eat the meat. Our waitress was the "manager" over waitresses. We never got a name. We had a group of 12 ppl, 6 adults 6 kids. Waitress added 2 extra chicken fried steaks to our ticket, and the kids were the last with their foods. She didn't come check our table until our food began coming out. Apx 30-40mins. Finally refilled drinks. We had to also ask another waitress to find ours to give us our ticket. They were not busy when we came in to eat.
Made a reservation and got sat 45 minutes after the scheduled time. Then the food took 50 minutes to get to the table. Cold cheese sticks and the manager made no real attempt to appease us so that we might give this establishment a second chance. Will not go back ever.
The crab was amazing . I would give it 5 stars
Been in port A couple weeks and I’ve stopped in for snacks or dinner 4 times with a different group of friends each time. And plan on sharing many more outings with many other friends in the next two months I’m here.
