This was a great experience. Boo is the best bartender/server! The food was excellent and so was the atmosphere.
We just tried to go there with a party of 17. They told us they couldn’t sit a party that large so we asked to be split into 9 and 8. Some girl came back out and said they couldn’t sit us at all because our party was larger than 8. Ridiculous.

Love the atmosphere! Love the food! Its the best seafood on the Island in my opinion and it doesn’t hurt your pocketbook either. Kid friendly- and they accommodates large groups! The owners have put a lot in getting Cast Aways back on their feet... their original bldg was hit hard by Hurricane Harvey and had to be demolished. Clean bldg, lots of local artwork (for sale too) and friendly staff. Soooo very proud at their comeback! I'm glad to see Castaways back open since they weren't when we visited last summer. The food was excellent and the service was great as well.
They moved since Harvey came through and I was worried. The food is still great and the service too. You can't pass up the hush puppies.
