Really good Persian food – My first visit to Caspian Grill. Nice place, well decorated, and I was greeted by the owner as I walked in. My friend and I were treated well, sat right away, and walked through the menu. The food was excellent. My lamb shank fell off the bone and practically melted in my mouth. Paired it with the hummus, feta and veggies, a dish of eggplant with tomato puree (forgot the name of it) The prices were very reasonable. I would take off 1/4 star for the paper napkin and the paper place mat. other than t... read more
Don't waste your time with this dump – One star is really too generous. This place is some cheesey gross rip off of what middle eastern food is supposed to be. Seattle is a town of amazing, affordable restaurants and its really a shame that this place is still in business. The chicken tastes rubbery, the sauce had this weird chemically taste even though it had obviously been filled with butter. Water glasses go unfilled, waiters have to be chased down when your'e ready for the check. The table next to us warned us as they we... read more
Worst Resturant ever – I order Kobba lamb. It was NOT well done. I called the waiter and told him it wasn't well done. The owner came by looked at me in a very condescending way. And then said OK. It felt one more word and things would really get bad! This guy should be running a prison NOT a restaurant. 15 min later came by and it was still not well done. The food tasted like rubber. The experience was very bad. I do NOT recommend this place to anyone.
Seattle's best Persian food is just down the street! – The food from the Caspian Grill Persian Cuisine is beautifully conceived, elegantly presented, and as varied as the colors outside a window pane in spring. The chemistry of Persian food is not so foreign to me and just because the restaurant is not complete fine dining does not alter the dish placed in front of me, but certainly it reinterprets the fundamentals of cooking. The food is anything but simple. It is worldly, ancient, historically organic and honors the art of... read more
Caspian is KICKIN! – I have been dining at Caspian Persian Grill for years. Every Caspian Experience gets better and better, which is uncommon in any establishment. The staff is considerate, accommodating and friendly. The food (Platter #3 is a personal favorite) melts in your mouth and is truly authentic Persian Cuisine. To top the evening off, they provide their clients with Professional Belly Dance shows. I was just ad Caspian a few nights ago and was welcomed by a talented Belly Dancer. She involved the audience in her s... read more
The only good Persian restaurant in Seattle – I love this place. The service is friendly, and the food is great. I grew up with my grandmother's Persian food and this restaurant takes me back to being seven years old. The khoobideh kabob is spiced just right, the rice is buttery and fluffy, the geimeh has the right amount of lemon and the portions are truly Persian. You will never leave hungry. The only criticism I would have is that the atmosphere feels a little cold. A bit more adornment to the walls would be nice. Even if... read more
Do not consider this if you are a vegetarian – I had eaten some amazing vegetarian persian food in Cleveland, OH. I was excited to see this place in Seattle serving persian food and it had 4+ stars and so I decided to check it out. Their bread was so-so - cold and hard. The waiter told us that that's the way its supposed to be. I kind of disagree that any cuisine calls for cold, hard bread. I cannot comment about the kebabs and other meat dishes since I am a vegetarian. The vegetarian dishes were okay. The salad was hideous ... read more
Seattle's Finest Persian Food restaurant celebrates its 17th year! – My family and me have been a customer of the Caspian Grill Persian Cuisine in the University District for as many years as their restaurant has had its doors open to the Seattle food critic community and the Persian community. As an American having visited Iran and tasted its food truely believe that food that they cook is just as authentic as that served at some family friends we stayed with there. I have been reading some the reviews below and feel a bit ... read more
My Worst Persian Cuisine Experience Ever – The belly dancers are absolutely inexperienced and the management and staff are extremely rude and unprofessional. Beside all of this, the food is not authentic and is way over priced.
