I Loved the fact it has been here since 1905. The soft shelled crab as well as all their fried seafood is gluten free. How fantastic is that? It's absolutely delicious too. Thank you for having such wonderful staff and great food and traditions. That is what New Orleans is all about. Xoxo
They have a varied menu, but you go there for the oysters. Raw, fried (in an oyster loaf sandwich), or especially chargrilled, these are some of the best around. They've been doing this for nearly a hundred years -- they've got it right.
Oysters on the half, chargrilled Oysters, fried shrimp all wonderful. Local establishment without the touristy price. Great time.
I was expecting so much more. Walked in and saw a line of people standing at the counter with drinks so we started to walk to the back where it says please wait be seated only to find out the line at the bar is the line and get on it.. Hard to get anyones attention to get a drink while you wait.No direction. No help. One of those so if you don't like it you can leave and someone else will take your place.
