Don't know about the red tacos but I remember eating red enchiladas with my wife at the Casa Mañana on 8th Street. It was our favorite Mexican restaurant. I guess the first time I ate there was in 1959, before I was married. I was a young airman stationed at Sheppard AFB. Seems like ordering red enchiladas added 15 cents to the cost of a plate of enchiladas, which was about a dollar. Some may say it taste like any other Mexican restaurant but not to me, it is better.
