RecommendedCasa de Pico has been near and dear to my heart for over 40 years. I was heartbroken when it was forced to close in Old Town. We were happy they moved to La Mesa, because it was very close to our house in Lakeside. I moved to Colorado 6 years ago, but whenever I'm in San Diego it's one of my favorite stops. The margaritas are the best anywhere. The salsa is unmistakable. the handmade tortillas, and the tortilla chips are incredible. For me, it just tastes like home.
