A lot of therapy is based on machines. A small portion is manual manipulation. I had really appreciated service rendered due to a neck problem. However, when I had a nasty fall and was diagnosed with lower back disk issues, the male doctor, who knew I was gay, would not touch my lower back and explained that his staff had already spent too much time on me that day - even though the place was nearly empty.
