I normally don't take the time to post a review but this office was so great that I had to! I was recommended to see Dr. Garrett by a friend of mine. I loved her! The check-in girl was super nice and so was the medical assistant. It was the best doctor's appointment I've ever had. I highly recommend this obgyn.

Our community is fortunate to have access to such a talented group of doctors and family nurse practitioners at Carteret OB GYN. They are always looking for ways to better serve their patients by adding additional services and procedures. Marie Frey is a hurtful person. The process of getting an appointment was exhausting 4 days to schedule. I would never talk about my health openly, but no one deserves to be treated this way. It's different when people treat me horribly (I've always been mentally strong), but I can't fathom the thought of Frey 'treating' other people like this, I have to stick up for what it right. I'm currently 16 weeks pregnant and have never been treated so horribly in my life. My friend had recommended this place due to both of us having multiple miscarriages, she said they were the best. Well they're not. These people could seriously care less about me. And when I told them that , all they did was call my primary care manager to give me a safe anxiety medication. This is my first review ever. I think very highly of this practice and had to share. I have had two successful pregnancies thanks to Carteret obgyn. I especially love dr mccallum, and dr vrdalis. But all the credit here goes to The newer dr Garrett. She saved me and my baby's life during my unmedicated child birth three months ago. Complications arised and she was there to make sure we both made it through. I will never forget having my baby and how scary it was but dr Garrett made everything go quick and easy as she could. ... read more

In December, I had a PAP and the results were withheld from me; my results - not someone else's - were not given to me until February. All they told me in December was it was abnormal and I needed to come back in. Their soonest appointment was February. I went in and they told me that I had cervical cancer and needed to have a biopsy. Again, they couldn't take care of it immediately. For two months, I worried. I'm currently pregnant with my first child. I've had some issues during my pregnancy. And the Morehead office of this practice will call me, and if I miss the phone call and call back right away they do not answer the phone. Every time I call in fact, theyou never pick the phone up. One evening I had one of the triage nurses call me and leave a message saying to call the office the next day. When I did, of course as usual no one answered the phone. Carteret OBGYN is seriously the most disorganized and unhelpful doctor's office I have ever been to. I can't tell you much about the medical staff there because their scheduling and administrative staff operates so poorly that I have yet to see anybody. Haven't seen an OB in 2 months thanks to them. I'm 8 months pregnant. If they weren't one of two doctors that took the majority of insurances in the whole county, they definitely wouldn't be close to as busy. Wish I could give them 0 stars.
