RecommendedAs a fan of Saturday night short track racing, I love what they're doing at Bobby Watson's Carteret County Speedway... only disappointments were an overworked mic man - having to run take pictures and conduct interviews ... and half the time had no idea why we were under caution - an important factor because there were times we couldn't see either... I'd suggest another person on the mic (Bowman Gray uses multiple) and maybe spotters or better connection to race control . . . though the track isn't that high, the seating is ... read more

Great local racing that's grown over the past few seasons. Reminds me of a bigger & better version Boman Gray from back home.
We went for our first race yesterday and it is a nice facility BUT it would be nice to have a no smoking family section and if you could use Visa/MasterCard. That made it VERY inconvenient to buy food yesterday. We should be able to enjoy a evening there without having to deal with people that smoke.
