I called Carter because I had icing on my coils. I decided to use them based solely on the fact that they had a flat diagnostic fee when other co's had trip charges and hourly fees to do a diagnostic. I told the tech I had already cleaned my coils and had done all the other troubleshooting related to icing. I remodel houses and rarely take someone else's word for anything. I called many places to get my a/c serviced and either the people answered the phone "hello" and I had to ask if they were the place I was calling or they suggested I go elsewhere because they were too busy (SERIOUSLY...Bill Owens). After a couple of bad experiences with Maximum Heat & Air, I was ready to change. Their techs (Maximum) would not quote me on a repair, but would do the repair and then hand me the bill without quoting me first or asking my approval prior to working.
