I agree with the negative comments. When I contacted Carrington Mortgage Services, they made it clear that I am responsible for managing my loan. I need to call back, follow up, and ensure automatic payments are set up. This is certainly not satisfactory service.
I hate this company. They are a terrible, terrible company. They take off fees on a call and then re-apply them the next month. They report you to the credit bureau for 5 days late plus a late fee. Best of all, they don't make your payment history available online. They ask questions each time you call them only to determine if they can sell your home to prospective private equity companies for a higher price. DO NOT MAKE THE TRIP OUT HERE. THEY HAVE NOT BEEN HERE FOR 15 YEARS AND I FOUND OUT THE HARD WAY. THERE ARE NO IN-PERSON LOCATIONS. YOU DO NOT NEED THEM TO SIGN THE CHECK BEFORE OVERNIGHTING IT.
