I had APU AC issues on my company truck over a 1 year period. The compressor would Short cycle off when I was in hot areas like Arizona. The problem was that it would work fine sometimes, especially when near carrier or my company shop, which made me look stupid, and would have most people shrug their shoulders and say there's nothing they can do. Little up in the air on these guys. I have a truck with a carrier APU. I never had problems with this APU previously until the capacitor went out. I took it to Carrier Transicold in SLC and had them fix that, I also told them to replace the top cover. $1900 later I got it back. Not complaining about the price really but first of all I said replace the top cover, not the top and bottom. Turns out the bottom was an addition $350. Anywho, not complaining “much” about that.
