I brought my car to Carr Subaru to help find an oil leak. They found the problem and we set up a later date to have the work done. But after the dealership gave me my car back after the first inspection I found my leather steering wheel was badly damaged, right in the area you hold the wheel. I quickly pointed it out to my service adviser Ryan Herrle, it was a Saturday and his manager Mike Wilson was not present that day. Every time I have my Forester serviced I dread the whole experience. Today was another example… I scheduled a service appointment for 7:30 AM. I was trying a new tactic of scheduling a service call instead of showing up because they could never help in a timely fashion. I called at 2:30 to see how the car was coming and if there were any issues that I needed to approve having fixed (I was having my brakes checked too). I've bought several Subaru's here and always got the best deal of anywhere in town. Do your research, know what you want to pay, know what you want for your trade in, if you have one, leave a little wiggle room on both sides of the trade in and purchase, and you should get a very good deal. Don't negotiate "payment"... That's where they'll get you. You need to know the price of your trade in and the price of the car. Also, after no more than an hour, be prepared to walk. I'm a 50 year old customer and have bought 15 new cars in my life time. This is my 4th Subaru, 1st one from Carr. First off, I don't like walking on to a car lot and haggling with sales people, so I did a lot of my "shopping around" via the internet. I was working between three different dealerships and finally after two weeks narrowed it down to Hannah and Carr. Buyer beware!!! We traded in our car that had a clean title. Car Fax said it did not have damage. Carr Subaru used their own source to say it did. VERY long story short after getting the state involved---their "source" is not recognized by the state of Oregon. They sold our so called lemon for almost $7,000 more than they gave us for our trade in. I called and spoke to Todd the sales manager and he said "You should be bitching to someone else" because he said their "source was reliable. Really!!!!! Swearing is such great cus... read more

Worst service, Scams!!!! – Subarus are great cars, but Carr has terrible service. First I was looking at a forester, and I was offered $4k for my trade in to get payments where I wanted. When I changed my mind and went with the outback the trade in value of my old car magially dropped to $1k. When I argued they managed to go to $2k, which was the kbb trade in value of my car, but it was a lot of fighting to get there. SCAM ARTISTS – I am 20 years old and this was my first experience with a dealership. Needless to say I was looking for a used vehicle and ended up finding a 2003 Subaru WRX. First off, the deal was that they were to retint the windows, give me a full one year warrenty (minus wear and tear), and we settled at 13k. After we shook hands, I gave them the financing (inexperienced move, I now know) and they said they would have the car all cleaned up and ready for me within two days. Carr is king – If you can find a better subaru service shop I'll buy you lunch. Last week I stopped by for my 45 thousand mile service. It was done quickly and the service guy Ryan offered me coffee and a comfortable place to catch up on e-mails. I am an avid Subaru owner for 15 years. Four different cars and they have never let me down. I believe not only is Subaru a great car but Carr has kept my cars road ready. See you on the slopes if your car can make it.
