Having lived in Carpinteria I'm a biased of course! But when you go to area's that are old and seem run down, That is how the real Carpinteria was years ago when I lived there and the population was maybe 12k~ Everybody knew everyone and so on!! We had a dog named Flash at the local paper, Reggie Reynolds (Blind) yet could draw freehand as if he could see! And yes Carpinteria had a peer at one time (fire). I could go on!
