When I arrived at Caron, I was a complete mess. I didn’t want to be there. I thought I didn’t need treatment. I thought I could white knuckle my way through my issues. Went there 2025. Facility and food are 11/10 Staff is 1/10 All they care about are filling beds and keeping you there as long as possible to collect as much money/insurance as possible. It is a pure business. After I made them let me leave (they kept pushing me to stay for 6-9 months) I asked my therapist about the sales tactics and how it works. Disappointed for several reasons mentioned below. There are no real individualized plans. They use/apply the same blueprint for each patient - whether you're 20 years old or 60 years old; whether a 30-year drug addict or a 2-year alcoholic; whether you have a strong support system or can never go back to where you come from. And based on the blueprint they will keep trying to "extend your stay" without giving you a written reason why.
