I spent 8 hours in the emergency waiting room because of how poorly run this hospital there. They were allowing people who got there after me go ahead of me and when I asked what was going on they said they were short of staff. I don’t know what that has to do with it but okay. Once I was able to see someone they took X-rays for 10 minutes and put me back out to wait in the waiting room. I finally got my results 3 hours later. If you have an emergency, do not come here unless you want to die.

The worst customer service of any hospital. ER in Pinevile is dangerous. Very few staff. ALL out of state temp nurses working there. Pay is awful and the benefits are worse. No one wants to work there under deplorable conditions and demeaning pay. I have been a RN in many states. By far Atrium is the worst. You can spend hours trying to get an appointment or reach some one for a question and never get any answers.

The worst experience with a doctor in my 30 plus yrs in health care.. My client a 93 yr old was brought in and actively dying...Dr Vang suggested after one day she be released...due to only having a broken toe after a severe fall....my clients family refused to move her due to the obvious fact she was not stable . The second day as my client continued to decline...Dr Vang decided to discontinue the very small dose of meds my client was receiving for agitation and wanted to know why we were not getting her up and feeding her.... read more
