My beloved heart and soul cat was referred to the internal medicine department due to a mystery liver issue that needed more diagnostic testing than my regular vet could provide. Had an emergency with both of our dogs. The unfriendly staff made us wait 2 hours without any communication. We never saw the vet and there was no one in the waiting room. Don't go here. We still have not heard a word back from them.
I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Carolina Veterinary Specialists Matthews, particularly their Oncology and Surgery teams. I was originally referred to CVS Matthews by my primary veterinarian, Dr. Zack Yasin; he specifically recommended Dr. McFadden and Dr. Parfitt when my 10-year-old dog, Henley, began needing oncology care in July 2025. ***Edit: I called the number after the Owners response, and it has been over two weeks and I still have not had a call back.*** The only reason I can give it one star is that the staff was very kind and easy to deal with however, I am disappointed in the care. My dog suddenly became paralyzed in his back legs from IVDD (dachshund), essentially a ruptured/slipped disc compressing his spinal cord.
