I had a great experience renting through Carolina Properties and working with Libby Howey, the property manager. Libby and her team responded promptly to any of my questions about the property I was renting. They were also quick to fix any minor issue or concern. Libby also kept me up to date on communications from the neighborhood's HOA. Libby was professional, reasonable, and fair. I would recommend renting through Carolina Properties to friends and family.
I would think twice before renting from Carolina Properties(CP) or take great measures to identify EVERY defect in the rental before signing an agreement. I have previously owned and maintained a meticulous 3200 sqft home before moving to Charlotte and renting a property from CP. When we moved in, there were stains on the carpet, dings in door, dings in walls, cabinets were unclean but it had the right layout for our temporary needs and signed a 1 year agreement. Be careful renting from Carolina Properties….After renting from them for 6 years (never late on my rent) they went up on my rent $875 a month!! On top of that , I was also told that it was up to me to fix any issues with the house if I was to continue renting. Very unprofessional and this particular property is in very bad condition and actually unsafe .
Called to ask about properties and rental options. Whoever answered the phone didn’t even try to help or get my business. Literally just hung up on me without even having a conversation. Don’t use this place. They seem to not care or want business and they’re relatively rude/unprofessional.
