My mom and aunt lived at Carolina Gardens at Conway for 18 hellish months. During that time their longtime caregiver was reported to DHEC for elder abuse when she gently closed Mom's mouth around a thermometer. Most recently a DHEC rep threatened to have me dragged out in handcuffs and told me she could prevent me from seeing my mom because Mom's caregiver told her that she needed to walk more instead of using a wheel chair.
