My mom and aunt lived at Carolina Gardens at Conway for 18 hellish months. During that time their longtime caregiver was reported to DHEC for elder abuse when she gently closed Mom's mouth around a thermometer. Most recently a DHEC rep threatened to have me dragged out in handcuffs and told me she could prevent me from seeing my mom because Mom's caregiver told her that she needed to walk more instead of using a wheel chair. My father has lived at Carolina Gardens Conway for two years now. I am in and out of the facility at random times, and I can honestly say the staff greet me by name and personally talk to me about my dad. They have gone beyond to meet his needs during several health issues we have faced. The social outreach events they offer are always fun events for the family. In my dad’s words, “ they take good care of me here”; that in its self gives me peace of mind that I made the right decision choosing Carolina Gardens.
Carolina Gardens has gone above and beyond to take care of my Papa. We have peace knowing he is being taken care of each day by an awesome staff that he has come to know and trust. They also have awesome events to celebrate with family and friends!
