To make a long story short, my sister and I are in the unfortunate position of dealing with 2 parents that have dementia/Alzheimers. Our stepmother is in the more advance stages and our dad is diagnosed with moderate alzheimers. Both parents are not in good health. Neither parent had planned for this.
