I was seen here for an EGD and Colonoscopy in July. I reported to the staff that I am allergic to Propofol. I had a near fatal reaction when I received it in the past. Then Angela, the nurse anesthetist came to my bedside and began to interrogate me about this "allergy". She told me that what I experienced was not an allergic reaction to propofol and that I have a genetic condition that predisposes me to developing malignant hyperthermia when receiving the paralytic before surgery. The hostile policy of charging a fee for rescheduling appointments on a less than 24 hour notice coupled with a failure to provide proper prescriptions makes for a dangerous and adversarial situation. I feel like the care staff is fine but the support staff is unhelpful and unconcerned about patient health and safety. I will not use this provider again.
