Update due to their response: "Educate our customers" is totally false, but the opposite. They lied about the maintenance of the siding and the quality of it. They didn't reach out for a solution till we posted a review. The only reason we didn't take the $1k was because we wanted folks to know 1st hand how awful is to work with this company, they wanted us to sign a non disclosure agreement in order to receive the $1k so people wouldn't know about their product quality. Update: I don't see how my version is different from my builder as we both shared the same concerns. Here's a picture of a piece of siding we got, it has not been installed and you can see black moldy spots all over. That was ALL of our siding!! - Zero stars if i could. We got all of our siding from our new construction from Carolina Colortones, most of it is wood. Carolina Colortones contacted our home almost immediately after my post about being disappointed with the stain job on the siding we got. They were very gracious and apologetic. They are sending a refund for the stain and staining work, charging us only for the raw cedar. They would have taken the boards back to re-stain but we had already done the staining by the time we got the call.
