Dr. Charles Cox has consistently been amazing with his knowledge, care, and genuine dedication to providing the most up to date and reliable diagnostic testing recommendations and treatment. He is innovative, knowledgeable. I am very comfortable and confident in Dr. Cox overseeing my treatment and follow ups. I hope upcoming doctors are learning from him. He has a wealth of knowledge. TM
Wonderful doctor and wonderful bed side manner!
I came to Dr. Cox based on his incredible reputation for conservative treatment. He did not disappoint. He is compassionate, thorough and realistic. I have been a patient for 3 years. He takes the time needed to assess and assure each and every patient. I don’t mind the occasional wait time .. because I know what it’s like to be the one in the room receiving the extra needed care.
Dr. Cox opened his closed office for me to have a biopsy of the breast so that I wouldn’t have to go through the weekend wondering whether or not I had cancer, which I did. He took easily two hours to explain everything to my husband and me, and patiently answered all of our questions. He was very reassuring and comforting as well as knowledgeable.
I had high hopes for his opinion after seeing his rating here. I was very unhappy with how it went. I am a nurse and I have been in the medical field for 22 years. He walked in the room just staring at me, he did not introduce himself just looking at me, saying nothing. I finally introduced myself and he limply shook my hand. He had not reviewed my films prior to that moment. He didn't ask to untie my gown top just helped himself DISGUSTING! Then dismissed me with a biopsy order.
After 3 years with a rare breast disease, and being abused by uninformed and uninterested surgeons, I finally found Dr. Cox, the most compassionate and knowledgeable doctor that I will ever meet. This disease caused tumors that mimicked breast cancer and could only be cured by mastectomy. Since the disease was not yet breast cancer, my insurance company would not recognize the need. Dr. Cox took the effort to build my case and I am now breast and disease free! I will be forever grateful to him.
Dr. Cox has a great bedside manner & has the praise from many in the area but he told me "NOT to worry about cancer that came on pathology behind the nipple" He did a biopsy on left nipple & said chance of reoccurrence was less than 2%. I had DCIS in left breast and decided on Bi-Lat mastectomy. 2nd opinion said get rid of nipple, finally I did, but I now have METs in my bones & 1/5/18 I was told it has moved into my brain. DCIS is not JUST DCIS. I wish my Dr would have taken it more serious
Dr. Cox is the best!! He is caring, knowledgeable and spends time explaining your condition , and treatment in terms that you can understand. He truly wants the best for his patients. He makes you feel comfortable, and his surgical skills are the best!!
There is no other doctor I'd rather have...wish he was also a PCP! He always has a smile, puts you at ease, is highly recommended by everyone in the medical industry, is down to earth and extremely knowledgeable. When my PCP didn't refer to Dr. Cox, I changed PCP! I needed to see a breast cancer dr in Michigan while on a trip, and the doctor was familiar with Dr. Cox up north, had been to many of his lectures, raved about him, and said he's world renowned and I was being treated by the best!
