Excellent care by a experienced knowledgeable doctor with a good bedside manner. Would recommend.
Not so good. As a husband of a patient I need share my experience. My wife had a lateral release on her knee at Valley. I was in the surgical waiting room for what was a couple of hours, at least. I asked at the desk and they had heard nothing. Then I saw Dr. Carney walking up the hall across from the waiting area. I informed the person at the desk of this and was informed that my wife had been in the recovery and the surgery had been done for quite awhile. Dr. Carney was so helpful when I fractured my upper arm. I was in a lot of pain and he told me exactly what to do and what not to do. He was right on the money with everything. I sent my sister to him and she was equally pleased. He is a definitely a 5 star doctor !!!
Although at the moment I have not had surgery and only consultations I want to say that Dr. Carney is a kind, caring, sympathetic and knowledgeable doctor. He has given me many answers which he did patiently, and he's trying everything possible to help me avoid surgery. Nursing staff very nice as well. Only complaint they should not have stairs to access an office for people with orthopedic problems.
Excellent care...great surgeon...nice support staff, very helpful in all aspects..
Dr Carney replaced my knee in Sept, 2016. He did an excellent job of prepping me for the surgery and was very caring and interested in my recovery. He continues to follow my recovery. He genuinely cares for my overall health. If I need surgery on the other knee, I will not hesitate to ask Dr Carney to perform the operation.
He spends the least amount of time possible with the patient. He lacks confidence and communication skills.
